March 4 Presentation - EPMR and EPMG Overview

In 2014, the BC OGC implemented the Environmental Protection and Management Regulation (EPMR) and the associated Environmental Protection and Management Guideline (EPMG).  These two documents are intended to be used together to guide proponents when working in areas with known environmental values including, but not limited to, streams, wetlands, Wildlife Habitat Areas, Ungulate Winter Ranges, etc.  This presentation explains the BC OGCs mandate with regards to each value identified in the EPMR, when mitigation measures are required and recommendations for avoiding or minimizing impacts to those values.

Erin has nearly 15-years of experience in Environmental Consulting, working as a project manager and mentor to junior staff. Her focus is on environmental planning, construction, and reclamation. She is extremely familiar with regulatory requirements as they pertain to the oil and gas industry in British Columbia and approaches each project with the intent to provide site-specific solutions that are accepted by the regulator and obtainable by the client.
