I am honored that people have confidence that I can fulfill the responsibilities of the various roles I have taken on in the past 2 years and now in my third year as Vice President for the current electoral year. What started out as a 2 year payback, has become a potential 5 year commitment should the normal progression within the Executive come to realization.
This has become more of a joy rather than, one might think of as, an obligation or burden. My previous portfolios on the Board were as Secretary/Social Director and the Finance Director. Those experiences have shaped my thinking while providing me great background. I feel more strongly now after 2 years on the CAPL Board that what we do is rewarding while being important and contributing value to our members. I appreciate the efforts of my fellow board members and cherish the relationships I have developed with them.
Over the past couple of years Dalton Dalik and I have developed an understanding and appreciation for each other. We go back a while to a time when I worked with his wife, Helen Klein. I look forward to assisting Dalton in leading our Association in the coming year.
