Member Services

The Member Services portfolio encompasses:

Membership: Applications for Active Membership, Associate Membership and Student Membership are reviewed by the Membership Committee on a regular basis and subsequently, recommendations are submitted to the CAPL Board of Directors for approval. Honorary Memberships and Life Membership are reviewed by the Membership Committee annually for approval at the April meeting of the CAPL Board of Directors.
Insurance: Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance and Best Doctors Group Service Card Program benefits are provided to all Active and Life members. These policies are reviewed on a yearly basis to ensure competitive premiums; and, that current memberships needs are being met.
Roster: Regular updates are made to the electronic roster on the CAPL website and periodic updates are made to the paper copy on an infrequent basis due to the costs involved in keeping this form of the roster current.
Member Information and Awareness: Information as it applies to the membership is provided through both the Negotiator and the Website.
Merit Awards: Annually, recognition is given to members and organizations that have made exceptional contributions to the Association as well as recognition of long time members who have been a member for 25 or more years.
Visitation and Bereavement: The CAPL acknowledges the deaths of current or past members by sending a card of condolence to the immediate family. Members who are suffering from long-term illness are sent a card of support.
